I don’t know if all locations provide the services of a destination wedding coordinator.
We were introduced to our coordinator shortly after booking our wedding date and giving the first deposits.
Find out more about it! The sooner you get in touch with your wedding coordinator the better 😊
In general, he or she is responsible to :
- answer your questions 🙋🏽
- make the necessary reservations following your choices 💻
- be on site to ensure the smooth running of the wedding 📋🖊
Basically your point of contact at destination!
Service by destination & location
Depending on the location you choose, the wedding coordinator may or may not be included (possible additional fees 💲) and their role may be a little different. Do not hesitate to clarify their role & responsibility.
Also, depending on the destination the rhythm and therefore the response time is more …relax 😎. For our part, this was the case. At first I was a little stressed, but I soon realized that I couldn’t speed things up by harassing the employees at the destination.
While making sure I had a response to my exchanges, I went with the Jamaican flow and believe me everything went well!
KEEP CALM …
Maintain a good relationship
Try to maintain a good relationship with your coordinator. You can share your disagreements, but do so in a respectful way.
If he or she does not provide you with good service, do not waste time and contact the manager directly to request a replacement. In our hotel, there were several coordinators available. We could have requested a replacement if we were not satisfied.
Since we had an outstanding service 😍 (5 months of email exchanges 💻 & service at destination !) we gave our coordinator a thank you card with a tip the day after the wedding.
Don’t forget to take a picture 📸 with him or her if you had a good service, it’s a nice souvenir !
